God's Love is Perfect

He perfectly loves us.

We can feel seperate from God's love because sin separates our soul from a close connection to him. But Jesus the Son of God has overcome the world and all its sins. Thus, we have access to God's love.

Love is more than a feeling. In God, love is a truth and a promise.

Psalm 57:10

For great is your love, reaching to the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies.

God is faithful in His love for me.

No matter what your are feeling, God will never forsake you. He will always stay by your side.

God's perfect love drives out fear.

1 John 4:18

There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

Fear has to do with punishment.

"I banish fear to the deepest corners of the earth. It will no longer reign in my life."

"Why do I want to hold on to it? Does it make me feel more alive? Alive, how? In what space?"

The space of darkness living in anxiety, despair and loss.

Please father help me live in your love. When I'm searching for self-worth and validity, I don't find it. Instead, I find hopelessness, confusion, and frustration.

We were not meant to search for God's love, as His love is present and always near. We need only to be still and listen to His voice. Quiet the distractions in our minds and find peace.

The opposite of fear is peace. Perfect love radiates peace.

Isiah 9:6

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders, And he will be called. wonderful counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Jesus is here, and he has established his peace on earth and in heaven. A peace that offers discipline, spiritual development and a relationship with God.

Why do we walk around in a state of unpeacefulness? Jesus is always near, and ready to carry our load.

God Jesus everything you have. Trust that he will lead you through the storms of life.

God gave us a perfect gift in his Son Jesus. A gift of love. I encourage you to spend some time reading the Gospel of John in the bible, learning about Jesus. Almighty God perfectly loves you.
